Some consider Valentine's Day a "Hallmark Holiday" designed to extract money for cards, flowers and chocolate. Others consider it a day to celebrate the glory of love, Either way, you probably are aware of the day, like it or not.
In the Straight No Chaser effort to make Valentine's Day a bit easier for our loyal listeners, here is the annual Valentine's Day Mix. Scan through the archives by searching the word "Valentine" to find a mess more of uninterrupted hours of romance-tinged jazz. Download them, stream them, burn them to CD. I make the mood - the rest is up to you.
This year, I've chosen to pick from music that has been released in the past few months, or are about to be released as you read this. The tunes are either old or new romantic tunes, mostly standards, and the performers are artists who are well-known, or should be soon.
